How we built an insurance agency’s brand from the ground up.

RISE Advisory is an insurance agency with a mission to provide a Critical Illness Fund (CIF) for all Malaysians. See how we helped them to position themselves as a trusted CIF pioneer in Malaysia through a logo, brand identity, website as well as a series of videos.

The Brief

Having just entered the market, RISE Advisory invited us to help them build their brand, starting with a logo, brand identity, website as well as video content.

Our Approach

It started with a brand new logo

First impressions matter – which is why we went through a painstaking process to develop their logo.

To illustrate their commitment to elevating protection for all, we placed their name on top of a vertical bar. And because everything they do is grounded on a ‘love and responsibility’ for one another and their clients, we introduced a gradient from green to blue – the green representing the ground on which they build their foundation and the blue, representing the heights they’ll continue to soar towards. Look closely and you’ll note that the letter R is designed to be shaped as both an umbrella and a compass, reflecting protection and direction.

We then built a website with a cohesive design and message.

As a people-first business, we designed their website to do two things:

 01   Educate Malaysians on what a CIF is and why it’s important.

We did this through conversational copy that tried to do away with complicated insurance jargon, focusing instead on relatable problems that a CIF can curb.

 02   Set their team of RISERS apart from the rest to build trust and lure potential recruits.

We did this by incorporating images of their actual team members in candid settings to give a sense of real life at RISE. This was strengthened through copy which anchored on their core values of ‘love and responsibility’ in providing protection for all.

And to lead people to their website, an origin story video was produced.

Having established the brand identity and website, it was now time to tell the RISE story in a video that RISERS could easily share on social media.

We took a storytelling approach anchored by the Chairman and Co-founders of RISE Advisory. But rather than getting them to chest-thump about RISE’s successes, this was an honest storytelling piece from their perspective as well as some of their own staff on both the genesis of RISE, personal convictions and stories of loved ones lost due to critical illness, and finally, honest accounts of how they have not only helped to make other people’s lives better, but also their own through a career with RISE.
